Ralph Caruso
As mentioned, Ralph is a self-made titan of industry, whose entrepreneurial footprint spans far beyond his East Boston roots.
Over the course of a 55+ year career, Ralph has built and led an empire that touches nearly every corner of New England’s economic landscape—from construction and equipment rentals to franchising, automotive, real estate, and service industries.
His journey began in the dirt—literally—founding Caruso Construction, City Rentals, and Northgate Recycling, and rising to prominence during Boston’s massive Big Dig infrastructure project. But Ralph didn’t stop there. He expanded his vision and ventured boldly outside of construction, becoming one of the world’s largest Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees and the proud owner of Mercedes-Benz of Burlington, one of the brand’s top-performing dealerships nationwide.
A true real estate savant, Ralph has built a diverse and expansive portfolio of properties that span the globe. His entrepreneurial reach extends to the service sector as well, where he runs Flush, one of the largest service companies in Boston, and Above the Line Production, which supports the region’s bustling production and events industries.
Yet with all this success, Ralph remains grounded in the values that started it all: loyalty, work ethic, and family. He shares his life with his beloved wife of 25 years, Andrea Caruso, and is the proud father of three—Chris, Catrina, and Enzo.
Outside the boardroom, Ralph’s passion for automobiles has become a defining part of who he is. His car collection is renowned and reflects a lifelong love for craftsmanship, speed, and precision. It stands as a symbol of what he’s built—not just wealth, but legacy.
From barely finishing high school to employing thousands, Ralph Caruso is the epitome of resilience. A man who bet on himself, built from nothing, and never stopped pushing forward.
